High Cholesterol = Hypercholesterolemia

It means higher levels of cholesterol in you blood than are safe. I means you have a higher risk for blockage of an artery with something called "atherosclerosis". It can lead to heart attacks and stroke. The good news if we have medications now that do a great job of lower the "bad" cholesterol, and they have very few side effects for most people.
